The Shadow of a Stream

There are two times that I think of or notice really random things: when I’m half asleep or in the shower.  I noticed something that I found fascinating in the shower today. Never before have I noticed that water can cast a shadow. I guess I never even thought that water had a shadow because I’m so used to seeing it falling from the sky or flowing en mass down a mountain. Also, it may be because I think of water as clear and light shines through clear things. Really thinking about it my original thought about water not having a shadow seems strange. Basically everything that had mass that I can think of right cast a shadow, so why wouldn’t water. I guess because we don’t see water in a manner that it would throw a shadow we would assume that it didn’t have one at all. Oh the things you find out at strange times and places.
